Apple announces opening of third research center in Israel


Apple is opening a new research center and development place in the city of Ra’anana, reported by Globes,Israeli business publication.Apple plans to start the new R&D center in the Ra’anana in the second half of 2013.This will be Apple’s third center in Israel, as Apple already has R&D centers in both Haifa and Hertezliya.


Globes reported that the latest news perfectly matches with their own predictions made in December in which they wrote that Apple is planning to construct a new R&D center at Ra’anana, but if Apple got enough engineers on board.


Intel the major rival presence in the area was a tough job to hire former TI employees. Intel reportedly offered good compensation packages  to lure engineers to the company. Apple on the other hand was however successful in its attempts.

Apple got 100-150 employees to add to the staff of new development center. However,Apple plans to add many more employees in up coming days,Globes reports

Globe earlier reported that Apple was hiring  a couple of dozens of engineers from Texas Instruments.
