Apple has released new update iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S


Apple has released new update of iOS, iOS 6.1.1 update for the iPhone 4S. The new iOS may be in response to issues that many users were reporting with 3G coverage with some European carriers. The latest update is now available over the air to iPhone 4S owners.

IOS new update 6.1.1 can be downloaded with build number 10B145. The release notes indicate that the new update addresses connectivity issues:

This update fixes cellular performance and reliability for Apple’s iPhone 4S

Problems that users faced with iOS 6.1, released on January 28 includes battery life and the overheating issues. This update also tackles the iPhone 4S’ data connectivity problems. Apple is expected to release iOS 6.1.1 for other devices soon.Currently its only vailable for iPhone 4S owners.

Beta version of iOS 6.1.1 was released last week to developers that contains fixes and improvements to many items like maps coverage.

iOS 6.1.1 beta will be soon renamed to a new version with the next developer release that will also include the fixes included in public release of iOS 6.1.1.The version will be released with better Maps for Japan.
