Cupertino-based smartphone giant Apple has been very busy as the next installment of its super-hit iPhone line-up dubbed as the iPhone6 arrives in a couple of weeks. But at the very same time, it faces several problems ahead of its launch as the company has announced that a very few percentage of iPhone 5 smartphones may unexpectedly face shorter battery life or need to be charged more often.

According to the sources, everyone’s iPhone battery will eventually get drained frequently and abruptly than it once did in a couple of years. But the handset heavyweight has added that Apple’s battery repair scheme is only entitled to specific customers located in the United States and China.

Apple also mentioned that customers can get the devices repaired if and only if their possessed iPhone 5 smartphones have been purchased between September 2012 and January 2013, and only those devices that get addressed which fall within a certain range of serial numbers. For the sake of convenience of its valued customers, Apple has also made a website on which users can determine whether their phones are eligible for the repairing or not.
It should be recalled that back in 2013, Apple announced an identical but limited range scheme for the battery repair and exchange of iPhone 5S. In June, Apple announced to withdraw iPhone chargers over the issue of overheating in some 37 countries all over the Europe.
