The decision of increased dope tests and biological passport has come after many active players had called for more measures to curb and detect doping cases in tennis to prevent any case similar to that of Lance Armstrong. The introduction of biological passport will help to detect changes in the blood of athletes against their original blood profile as it contains test results collated at different times. Cycling governing body UCI has already introduced biological passports in 2008.
