The new BlackBerry’s Q10 Smartphone is gaining popularity in both UK and Canada. Blackberry released Q10 in Britain and Canada this week. It is the company’s second smartphone to operate by the BB 10 OS.
“Our checks shows big turnouts with generally limited stock,” Jefferies analyst Peter Misek told clients on Friday. “Following our store checks, the new BlackBerry Q10 has been got the consumers’ attention and is paying back quite well across Toronto and UK.”BlackBerry is hopeful about new line of smartphones, following the touchscreen Z10 that was introduced earlier this year, will help get back lost market shares to the Apple Inc’s iPhone and Samsung Electronics Co’s famous Galaxy devices, containing Google’s Android OS.
BlackBerry shares rose by 2.2 percent at $16.04 in early trading in the U.S Friday morning, while its Toronto-listed shares rose 2.8 percent at C$16.21.
The Pentagon give clearance for its defense department to use the Blackberry 10 devices along with Samsung devices, The Jefferies report says.
The Pentagon also plans to give a green signal to Apple mobile devices that use the iOS 6 systems in early May.
This move has made a furious competition over U.S defense department orders among Blackberry, Apple and Samsung. So far, BlackBerry is in the lead. International law firm Clifford Chance disclosed about rolling out 1,600 BB 10 smart phones to its employees.
The Blackberry Corp is also planning to promote its new BlackBerry R10. It is a third handset in a row operating on BB10 OS. News says that this smartphone was in the few of internet’s headline following its alleged image release CrackBerry states that the red version of BlackBerry R10 is set to be released in the third quarter of 2013. The Smartphone’s white version was allegedly disclosed. The new smartphone is surely a price conscious device. The premium finishing touch of BlackBerry Q10 is certainly missing.

At a price tag of Rs. 43,490, the BB Z10 is above par the competition.
