Google launches Android 5.0 Lollipop

Google has finally wrapped off the covers from its latest update of its iconic Android operating system aimed for gadgets and smartphones. Interesting enough to believe, it was low key affair by usual standards, in which Google launched its flagship products.

The fresh version of Android and version 5.0 is nicknamed Lollipop. By all values, it’s a prominent update. As one can anticipate and expect, there are a plethora of latest attributes such as guest mode, the mode to discard alerts and notifications if you are busy in an important work or meeting and the ability to show notifications directly from the lock screen. This feature was already offered via various apps such as Dashclock Extension but it’s amazing to experience more stuff being directly offered with the Android OS.

Android Lollipop also sports a new scheme to making everything special via Material Design which aims on a smooth OS experience round the clock across all your devices. Hence now, there will be no big differences in how a tablet variant of an app looks in contrast to the smartphone version, if it’s crafted in-line with the latest rules of course. Another fresh and welcome addition to the new software is a battery saver attribute which stretches battery life of your gadget by up to 90 minutes. Last but not the least; developer support has been incredibly increased with more than 5000 new APIs.
