Search engine behemoth Google has wrapped off the covers from a separate section for its list of ‘Best Apps of 2014′. The search for good and productive apps is usually a tedious job in the Play Store, so this should make it convenient for consumers and developers of these apps alike.
The overall list comprises of 64 apps and it includes all categories such as music, gaming, social media and utilities. Interesting enough to note, the only application in the list by the Google itself is Google Fit.
A total of 7 paid apps are included in this list which are namely 7 Minute Workout Challenge, Afterlight, Amazing World Atlas, djay 2, Facetune, Over, and Ultimate Guitar Tabs & Chords. A plethora of highly applauded apps such as IFTTT, Shazam, Yahoo News Digest, CNN, and Mailbox have managed it to register themselves to the list alongside some randomly known apps as well. The apps that show consistency in their performance in the Best Apps of 2014 comprises of Duolingo and Wunderlist.
However, the criteria for the selection of apps are not disclosed by Google so it’s predictable that some of your beloved apps did not make their entry to the list.
