Global software behemoth Microsoft has joined forces with top tech firms namely Sony, LG, Haier and another 17 OEMs to pre-load Microsoft apps on their tablets. Microsoft has also claimed that they have widespread their strategic partnerships by developing fresh accords with a number of Android OEMs. As per the latest agreement, all the 20 vendors will be entitled to pre-install Microsoft’s productivity apps on devices operated with Android OS.
These app will comprise majority of the Microsoft Office Suite apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote), OneDrive and Skype.
These apps will be featured as pre-loaded on all Android tablets launched by the aforementioned OEMs, with LG tablets and Sony’s Xperia Z4 Tablet being the inaugural devices within the upcoming three months.
A couple of months ago, Microsoft disclosed an identical deal with market giants such as Cyanogen, Samsung, Dell and 8 other OEMs.

Corporate Vice President of Original Equipment Manufacture Division at Microsoft, Nick Parker revealed the news about this partnership and commented as: “Our strategic pact with these front-running companies depicts how Microsoft is expanding the hardware ecosystem scale. This deal is a landmark of our cross-platform facilitation strategy, to bring in Microsoft’s productivity services to feed the business and social appetite of every person on every device irrespective of the place he/she is.”
