PTCL organizes ‘Eco-Hike and Tree Plantation Drive’ in Margalla Hills


PTCL carrying on its social responsibility organized a drive ‘Eco-Hike and Tree Plantation Drive’ in Margalla Hills. The aim of PTCL drive was to raise awareness among the people about protection and preservation of the environment.


PTCL has a ‘Go Green’ vision, and the company has always been in the forefront to motivate people and raise awareness among them about healthy environment.

PTCL initiative emphasizes on upkeep of surroundings, to keep it clean and lash. The drive was participated by over 230 hikers including the PTCL management, employees and students.

‘Eco-Hike and Tree Plantation Drive’ started from the base of Margalla hills on ended at the picturesque Pir Sohawa.

Faculty members and students of Bahria University, Iqra university and FAST also participated in the drive.

PTCL tree plantation drive was carried out in collaboration with CDA. Syed Mazhar Hussain, PTCL Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) also planted pine tree saplings.

Syed Mazhar Hussain, on the occasion said that PTCL know its social responsibility and vowed to keep the environment clean and raise the awareness among the people in the future too with further aim to raise momentum of such activities.

Dr. Muhammad Hanif, renowned environmentalist at the closing ceremony, highlighted the importance of  preservation and protection of environment.

Sanaullah Aman of CDA, assured of corporation in organizations of such events in future too.
