Sony might be a bit late to enter the battlefield of mini variants of mainstream smartphones, but it has now decided to turn the tables with its recently unveiled the mini model of its Z1 iconic, the Z1 Compact.
The Z1 Compact has been equipped with a plethora of identical attributes as its predecessor possess. Under the hood, user will see a 4.3 inch HD Triluminous screen glass and cutting-edge Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It also bags an IP58 rating from its producer, which suggests that it is dust-proof and can be dipped in water up to 1m depth and remain active there for half an hour.
The Z1 Compact hardware is composed of a super fast quad-core SnapDragon 800 chip of 2.2 GHz frequency, GPU of Adreno 330, a RAM of 2 GB and a memory space of 16 GB which can also be expanded. It is also loaded with a 20.7 MP shooter along with Flash, which is also capable of capturing 1080p Complete HD videos.
An HD camera of 2 MP is also included as a secondary shooter on the front. Its Connectivity options comprise of NFC, USB-OTG, microUSB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and also latest 4G LTE technology. A robust and long-lasting 2300 mAh battery ensures extra performance of the device. The Z1 Compact is a slim and sleek designed smartphone which has a thickness of 9.4 mm and is 137g heavy. It operates on customized Android OS 4.3 Jelly Bean.
