Technogym launched Google glass based treadmill


Google announced Google Glass controlled treadmill at 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas to get feedback from attendees on their latest workout routine.


The Google treadmill, created by Technogym, a fitness equipment manufacturer, gives the user flexibility to control the speed of the treadmill with the Glass by just using the voice commands. The users with the help of Google glass also see the running data on headset and can communicate via a webcam to a personal trainer .

Technogym has created the treadmill on the Android-based platform as a part of cardio training equipment, called Unity. Unity is a cloud based service mywellness cloud platform to upload, log and maintain all the users performance data in a cloud data base and allows users to track and get the feedback.

The Users can improve their fitness by using a number of fitness apps that can directly be downloaded from Technogym App Store like MapMyFitness, Withings and RunKeeper. The users can also link their social media profiles and favourite entertainment apps to their account.

Technogym hopes that many third party application developers will use treadmill’s API for further inovation.

Google treadmill by Technogym offers users with an excellent personalized training program,entertainment, favourite apps and TV programs.

Technogym treadmill is already a part of number of Gyms across the UK. The Google Glass Technogym tredmill will be available later this year.
