Telenor’s subsidiary Telenor Pakistan has released its earnings report which displays its entire profits of Rs. 23.14 billion for Q4 of last year. These figures are seeing a decline in contrast to the same duration of 2012. The whole earnings were down by a 1% figure. Telenor describes the main reason for this loss to be price erosion from cheap on-network packages and negative ICH contribution of 3 % points.
Telenor Pakistan’s earnings from user subscriptions and traffic were Rs. 17.02 billion for the fourth quarter of last year, whereas profits other than mobile services stood at Rs. 4.27 billion.
An 8 percent decline was seen on EBITDA mainly because of escalating commissions as 2013 was influenced by the SIM shipment prohibition by the government and increased pressure Easypaisa facilities in the ongoing quarter.
The Operating revenues saw a boost by Rs. 5.82 billion as swift depreciations were minimized after the modernization of network was completed.
Besides this, slip was also seen on the Capital expenses following the network modernisation completion and was aimed at network enhancement and bill swapping.
Average Revenue per User in domestic currency was slashed by 8 percent and declined from Rs. 208 to Rs. 189 for the identical duration in 2013.
The report highlighted a rise in average minutes for a user on monthly basis grew from to 245 for the fourth quarter of 2013.
