A number of Pakistani cellular operators have announced to put the latest of Apple flagship devices iPhone 6 and 6 plus on sale for their customers from December 11th, 2014. However, these iPhones will be unlocked and would not present any specific network.
As there is no subvention provided for the iPhones, meaning that iPhone 6 and 6 plus will come without any contract, these smartphones will be offered in unlocked condition and would be compatible with any network.
Irfan Wahab Khab, CMO of Telenor Pakistan, confirmed during a press briefing that iPhone smartphones that his firm is going to sell iPhones from December 11th in unlocked condition. Ufone and Mobilink have also been rumored to offer the same package.
Cellular phone companies, meanwhile, may furnish bonus packages to those users who continue to stick to their existing network bandwagon. Such bounties might comprise of free 3G data in addition to voice and SMS bundles for a limited time period.
Just to add, cellular operators will also provide warranties (via distributor) and other after-sale facilities for iPhone buyers.
Not to forget, Ufone has already begun pre-registration for iPhone and iPhone 6, whereas Mobilink and Telenor has declared to kick off taking pre-orders from users right from December 5th, 2014. Shipping of these high-end and sophisticated devices will be provided with effect from December 11th, 2014
