Wateen Telecom has appointed Rizwan Tiwana in place of Neem Zamindar as CEO. Last week Naeem Zamindar stepped down as CEO Wateen Telecom. He spend almost three and a half year as Board Member of Wateen telecom and led to the reorganization and restructuring of the company.
Wateen board members appreciate the efforts of Ex CEO Naeem Zamindar and his contribution for making Wateen come back from losses and achieve positive EBITDA. The company is now viewed as a stable organization and all set to record some profits in the coming era.
Rizwan Tiwana is a seasoned professional with over 19 years of diverse experience in the telecom sector including multinational operators and global network vendors all around the world. His recent experience was as CTO at Fanoos Telecom Iraq which spanned over two years. Previously he was senior manager at Nokia Siemens Network and Motorola in UAE for over three years. Rizwan also has worked at Marconi UAE. His arrival as CEO Wateen is being taken as positive and he is expected to be instrumental in Wateen telecom further improvement and business growth in Pakistan.
He brings a wealth of experience in broadband industry management and appointment of Rizwan reflects commitment of the company in moving towards achieving it’s strategy of becoming the leading technology services provider through leveraging it’s strong core business of connectivity in years to come.
